Pneumatic Bursting Tester employs the pneumatic test method to determine how much bursting pressure a fabric has. Examples of fabrics this tester is used to test include woven fabric, knitted fabric, and non-woven fabric amongst others.
Using a circular clamping ring, the test specimen is clamped over a diaphragm. Then the operator applies compressed air pressure to the diaphragm. This compressed air pressure is increased gradually, which makes the fabric unable to extend any further until the test specimen bursts. At this point, the operator will be able to record the distension and bursting strength.
The machine is used alongside the Bursting software, which displays the testing-curve in real-time. The operator of the machine can also control nit using the graphics touch-screen.
