Polyamide 66 (PA66) or Nylon 66 is one of the most popular engineering thermoplastics and is majorly used as a replacement to metal in various applications. Nylon 66 is synthesized by polycondensation of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid (two monomers each containing 6 carbon atoms).
PA66GF25, is a glass fiber reinforced plastic granules available in extrusion grade. It is characterized by its 80±5 shore hardness, 230-240°C melting point, and tensile strength of ≥80 MPa. Nylon 66 is a superior alternative to other polyamide materials due to its excellent wear resistance, chemical inertness, and dimensional stability. It is highly resistant to abrasion, and is often used in automobile parts, electrical and electronic components, textile machinery, and home appliances. With its superior thermal resistance, Nylon 66 also offers flame retardancy, making it an ideal material for use in a variety of applications.
