Solar flat panel solar collector for solar water heater
The red copper core board and black chrome coating of the solar flat plate collector display excellent spectral selectivity, thermal stability and high temperature resistance.
It has a good performance below 300°C, and the black chrome coating has nice weather resistance and corrosion resistance.
Working Principle
Flat plate solar collector is a metal box with a glass cover (called glazing) on top and a colored absorber plate at the middle.
The sides and bottom of the collector are usually insulated to minimize heat loss.
Sunlight passes through the glazing and strikes the absorber plate, which heats up, changing solar energy into heat energy.
The heat is transferred to liquid passing through pipes attached to the absorber plate.
Water in the flat plate becomes hot and rise in the top of the water tank, and the cold water sink to bottom then heat by copper core.
So the whole system is always circulating continuously.
Proposition
Solar Flat Plate collectors are typically recommend for use in warmer climates simply because they are designed with larger absorber areas that are not insulated from the colder weather. The heat pipe vacuum tube solar collector proves to be more efficient in colder climates and are recommended for use in these areas.
