Introduction:

Working principle
When electronic waste scraps containing non-magnetic conductive metals (such as lead, copper, zinc, etc.) pass through an alternating magnetic field at a certain speed, induced eddy currents will be generated in the non-magnetic conductive gold scraps. Since the material flow and the magnetic field have a relative motion speed, there is a thrust on the metal pieces and blocks that generate eddy currents. This principle can be used to separate some non-ferrous metals from the mixed material flow. The thrust acting on the metal depends on the size, shape and irregularity of the metal pieces and blocks.The magnetic drum inlaid with permanent magnets rotates at high speed, generating an alternating magnetic field. When the conductive metal passes through the magnetic field, eddy currents will be generated in the metal. The eddy currents themselves generate an alternating magnetic field, which is opposite to the magnetic field generated by the magnetic drum, that is, a repulsive force (Lorentz force) is generated on the metal, separating the metal from the material flow, thus achieving the purpose of separation.The sorting principle is based on two important physical phenomena: an alternating magnetic field that changes with time is always accompanied by an alternating electric field (law of electromagnetic induction); a current-carrying conductor generates a magnetic field (Biot-Savart law).Eddy current separation is a separation technology that utilizes the different electrical conductivity of materials
