this signal is specially designed to increase the safery of pedestrian,by showing number of seconds left to change signals from red to green or from green to red to assist pedestrian to determine if he should walk through the street or stay where he is .it also helps pedestrian to know how long he will need to wait before red signal is change into green signal.

When green walking man is on, this signal shows the seconds left for pedestrians to walk across the street ;

When red man is on, the count down red digits shows the seconds remaining for pedestrians to wait ;

The green man walks faster and faster when the green digit shows signal digit to remind pedestrian to walk faster before the green light is going to be changed into red light.
