One of the most important aspects of this battery powered truck is related to the steering types; it is in fact able to move in any direction thanks to its wheels which all move independently. You can therefore call it an omnidirectional truck. This peculiarity guarantees that it also has the possibility of moving in tight and narrow spaces, therefore enabling a premises layout design where large spaces for handling materials are not required.
This omnidirectional heavy duty trolley is also equipped with a loading surface that can be completely raised by about 200 mm. In this way, it can lift the load, transport it and place it, without the aid of a bridge crane or other lifting means. This feature allows it to optimize handling times: with a single machine it is in fact possible to move any kind of load from one bay to the next or even from one warehouse to another; not to mention the extreme ease with which it is possible to rotate large bulky loads by 90°, 180° or 360°, all in a very short time.
The movement on the ground, which this omnidirectional heavy duty trolley enables, also considerably increases safety. In fact, there are no suspended loads moving around the site; the load is always at person-height, clearly visible and always signalled by the alarm sound and the flashing lights, mounted on the omnidirectional truck. In order to increase safety it is also possible to fit it with laser scanners, which stop the trolley in the event that an obstacle is detected in the direction of travel. N ° 4 emergency buttons at the four corners complete the safety devices available.
The energy consumption and the environmental aspect are another great strong point of this omnidirectional heavy duty trolley designed and built by RMK Giovanni. The trolley is powered by a lithium battery; it can therefore work in any environment, both indoors and outdoors, as it is completely non-polluting, both during use and during recharging. Energy regeneration brushless traction motors and the high energy density battery also ensure maximum efficiency, allowing great savings on electricity consumption.
To complete all these characteristics, this omnidirectional trolley can also be supplied as AGV, with completely autonomous drive, thus further optimizing the company handling processes.
