What are the reasons for V-belt heating?

In use, the V-belt will generate heat due to various reasons, which not only affects the work of the V-belt, but also shortens its service life.

Causes of V-belt fever:

1. Too tight or improper assembly of the V-belt can easily cause it to lose its elasticity, causing the belt to slip, resulting in increased wear and heating of the V-belt.

2. The operating temperature is too high, friction generates heat, and the surface temperature can easily reach 50-60 degrees. The premature aging of the belt and the decrease in strength and elasticity are the reasons for the excessive temperature. In this case, it should be checked in time and replaced if there is a problem.

3. If the model is not selected correctly, it should be ensured that the replaced V-belt and the original wheel groove model should be the same, and the length of the replaced V-belt must be equal to the original design requirement. If it is a multi-root drive, pay attention to the actual length of each V-belt in the same group of belts as close as possible when replacing, so that the force is even.
