API Tungsten Carbide Ball Bearing Valve Seat With Abrasion Resistance
Material Selection for valve ball and seats
The three most common materials for balls and seats are Tungsten Carbide, Nickel Carbide, and Titanium Carbide.
Tungsten carbide is the industry standard and for good reason; it has proven itself over many years of service in the field. It has excellent wear properties and has a Cobalt binder, but has become slightly more expensive.
Application for tungsten carbide ball
Tungsten Carbide – A very tough and durable Ball and Seat, excellent for highly corrosive and abrasive well conditions. Tungsten Carbide is a heavy, magnetic material that is extremely hard and works well where weight is needed.
Features
Tungsten carbide balls and valve seats have the compositions of tungsten carbide(WC) and Co or Ni or Mo additives. With high compression strength, excellent wear resistance and well shock and impact resistance, tungsten carbide balls and valve seats are widely supplied as ball-rolling element in bearing industry, pump valve spool for fluid seal, check valve for petroleum digger, industrial sprayers to regulate the flow of fertilizers or pesticides to crops.
Tungsten carbide balls can be also applied in a drastically different application, it can be employed as pen balls due to their inert chemical properties. Besides, in miniature flow control devices, such as medical instrumentation and ink-jet printing, tungsten carbide balls are also frequently used.
Applications
Widely used in where extreme hardness and wear resistance is required, such as bearings, ball screws, valves and flow meters, pen, spraying machines, pump, machinery parts, oil, hydrochloric zcid lab, hardness measuring instrument, and so high-end industry.
