YC332 | For rough machining of steel parts | CVD coating |
Why choosing our carbide inserts?
1. Good chip control & perfect turning surface
Provides perfect turning surface of the workpiece. Excellent and reasonable Chipbreaker design, removing the chips smoothly and taking away the heat of the rubs of the workpiece.
2. Less tool breakage, cost down of each component
Saving costs and reducing the cost of each component to increase the profits. The high wear resistance makes the long service life of the carbide inserts, which means you could saving more budget on purchasing the inserts.
3. Long tool life, higher production
Long tool life means you need less time changing the inserts while machining. A reliable and safe performance every time.
4. CVD coating ensures the high wear resistance
The layer of the CVD coating with the thickness around 8um-20um which guaranteed the high wear resistance.
Customer’s case: Cause and Solution when an insert is failed on performance
1.Flaking
Cause:
-Smeary material
-Cutting speed too low
-Intermittent machining with coolant
-Coating too thick
Soulution
-Increase cutting speed
-Turn off coolant
-Select a grade with thinner coating and better edge line security (PVD)
2. Plastic deformation
Cause:
-High heat load and pressure, cutting temperature too high
-Grade too tough/soft
-Lack of coolant supply
Solution:
-Reduce heat and pressure load by reducing cutting speed and/or feed
-If edge depression, reduce feed first
-If flank depression, reduce speed first
-Select a more wear/heat resistant grade
-Select a more open/positive geometry
-Improve coolant supply
