Friendly to The Environment

U-micco fiber is friendly to the environment, as only a small amount of toxic gases are released when U-micco fiber is burned. U-micco fiber can also be recycled.

Description

According to the CPSC, babies should be put to sleep on their backs to reduce the risk of SIDS. However, there will likely come a time when your baby will turn face down in his or her sleep. That's when having additional airflow under the baby may be helpful. This can also improve temperature regulation and reduce overheating.
U-micco breathable crib mattresses provide more airflow than traditional non-breathable crib mattresses according to independent tests. Our practical approach to breathability is effective without sacrificing hygiene.

How It Works
The breathable cover is actually a 3-dimensional structure that allows air to flow through the fabric and under the baby for 360° air circulation. Since air is able to pass freely through the fabric’s 3D structure, babies can breathe right through it!

Practical Design
The breathable function is encapsulated in a washable cover that completely hugs the mattress. This removable layer has a waterproof backing that keeps the mattress clean and protected from urine, spit-up, and other messes. In the event of an accident, just replace with a spare cover or put the baby back to sleep on the fully functional underlying mattress. The cover can be easily laundered at your convenience (machine wash & dry).

Washing the encasement:

1. Clean encasement only if soiled.

2. Unzip and remove from core.

3. Zip fully closed prior to wash + dry.

4. Machine wash in cold water with detergent.

5. Wash together with outer cover for a balanced load. Wash without any other laundry.

6. Dry immediately in dryer on tumble dry low heat setting, allowing to dry thoroughly. DO NOT leave damp from wash; DO NOT hang dry.

TIP: The encasement is made with natural Viscose material which may develop an odor if allowed to remain damp (like a wool sweater). To refresh, add 1/2 cup baking soda to the wash.

Washing the core:

1. For the really big mess or just for seasonal cleaning, the core can be washed whenever needed.

2. Wash in the shower with soap & cool water or rinse outside with a hose.

3. Shake excess water out of core and stand-up to dry.

4. Place in well ventilated area for faster drying.

5. Avoid drying in direct sunlight and do not use heating elements to speed the drying process.
