High-performance ultrasonic transducer piezoelectric Ceramic Converter

The transducer converts the high-frequency electrical energy into mechanical vibration. The characteristics of the transducer depend on the selection of materials and the production process, so the performance and service life could be infinitely different even the transducers are of the same size and same shape. There are many parameters in a transducer, among them, some are mostly attention-driven:

Resonance frequency Fs: the resonance frequency of series branch in the equivalent circuit of a piezoelectric transducer, under this frequency, the impedance of the piezoelectric transducer is minimal. Refer to the frequency value at “Fs” in the below graph.

Half-power point F1 & F2: per the admittance circle graph, the real part is the frequency at Gmax/2, there are two frequencies like this: F1 & F2, F1 <Fs, F2>Fs.

Anti-resonance frequency Fp: the resonance frequency of parallel branch of a piezoelectric transducer, under this frequency, the impedance of the piezoelectric transducer is maximum. Refer to frequency value at “Fp” in the above graph.

Mechanical quality factor Qm: Qm=F2/F2-F1, Fs is resonance frequency, F1 and F2 are the half-power points.
