Noise Reduction Vibrating Bowl Feeder Dust Cover Feeder With Hopper
1 . Descriptions:
Vibratory bowl feeders are specialized equipment commonly found on production lines in various industries such as automotive, pharmaceutical, electronics, and packaging. These feeders are distinct from other machinery and rely on a trial-and-error approach, utilizing touch and feel to achieve the desired feeding, orientation, and feed-rate of components.
When a business requires components to be fed, they provide a sample component. Experiments are conducted using a test bowl that closely matches the required specifications until successful feeding is achieved. Once feeding is established, the focus shifts towards achieving the desired orientation and increasing the feed-rate.
Ensuring precise component orientation has been a challenge for engineers, often requiring time-consuming mechanical solutions such as grinding metal to create catch points. However, vision sensors offer an excellent solution to this problem. They can be easily configured to detect and reject incorrectly oriented components without the need for external triggers. Vision sensors operate independently and can identify misoriented parts at impressive rates, reaching up to 6,000 parts per minute.
In addition to orientation, vision sensors provide valuable functions beyond their primary role. They can verify component correctness, identify defects, and count parts to monitor feed rates. This technology significantly enhances the efficiency and accuracy of vibratory bowl feeders in manufacturing processes.

3 . Principle of Vibratory Bowl Feeder :
Vibratory feeders operate on a fundamental principle that can be demonstrated by pouring sand into a funnel and gently tapping it to maintain a continuous flow. These feeders utilize gravity to pull dry materials downward and employ vibrations to facilitate movement from side to side. They are primarily used for dry materials that may not flow smoothly without assistance.
In a vibratory feeder, a substantial amount of material is introduced through a cone-shaped opening at the top and flows out from the narrower bottom. A pill counter exemplifies this type of feeder, where a large quantity of pills is poured into the top opening. Gravity guides the pills downward, and vibrations ensure a smooth flow, preventing any obstructions or blockages. The feeder pauses its operation once the correct number of pills is achieved and resumes when a new bottle is ready for automatic filling.
