Our company was contacted by an automotive manufacturer who needed a customized vibratory bowl feeder to convey hinges to assemble a car. In order to meet the demand of conveying different hinges at the same time, engineers designed multiple conveyor tracks. A PLC control system was used to accurately control the speed of the vibratory bowl feeder and to pause the conveyor when a certain type of hinge was not needed.
