Introduction

Ribbon Blenders consist of a U-shaped horizontal trough, transmission parts, and ribbon agitating blades which usually have double or triple layers with outside screw gathering the material from sides to center and inside screw transmitting the material from center to sides to form convection mix and a specially fabricated ribbon agitator.

The outer ribbon moves materials in one direction and the inner ribbon moves the materials in the opposite direction.

The ribbons rotate at approx. 300 fpm moves materials both radially and laterally to ensure thorough blends in short cycle times. Ribbon blenders are commonly used in nutraceutical, chemical, food and related industries. It is excellent for mixing both wet and dry products.

Features

1. Horizontal tank body, covers small area;

2. Bearing is on both ends of the mixer, the material is not easy to enter, repair rate is low;

3. The machine can be designed to cool or heat the powder inside;

4. Under the bottom or the sides of the tank , there is a flap dome valve (pneumatic control or manual control) of the center. The valve is arc design to make sure no material deposit and no dead angle when mixing.

Widely used in putty paste, true stone paint, dry powder, putty, medicine, food, chemicals, feed, ceramics, refractory materials such as solid-solid (powder and powder), solid-pulp (powder and glue slurry) mixing, especially suitable for viscous material mixing.

Working Principle

The outer and inner screw ribbon blade driven by high speed rotating shaft, mixing the material in maximum, inner screw ribbon blade forced the material to sides, outer screw ribbon blade forced sides material to inward,mix the materials back and forth.

In the same time, some material driven by screw ribbon do the radial motion, to form the convective mixing, so to achieve uniform mixing effect in relatively short time.
