The belt conveyor employs a closed annular conveyor belt as the traction and bearing member, which is circumscribed and stretched on the front and rear drums, and makes the conveyor belt produce continuous motion by the friction between the conveyor belt and the driving drum. Depending on the friction between the conveyor belt and the material, the material moves with the conveyor belt, thus accomplishing the task of conveying the material.
