Tumbler screening machine is an efficient sieving equipment which is designed to meet the large out put, high-density sieving of the material. It is the most effective simulation of artificial sieving movement (sieving precision, efficiency, service life is 5-10 times than the common cylinder sieve), for the processing of all the fine and ultra-fine powder and specialmaterials, particularly suitable for materials which are difficult to classify.
Basically the movement of a tumbler screening machine can be compared to natural hand screening. For the control screening, fractionating and de-dusting of dry, powdered and granular products. Particularly suitable for high feed rates and multi-deck separations of fine, lightweight products which are difficult to screen.
Unlike a typical vibratory or gyratory screening machine, the tumbler screening machine incorporates a unique three-dimensional tumbling motion providing the gentlest screening possible. Working Principle of High Precision Rotary Tumbler Screening Machine for Food Additive:
Tumbler screen is a kind of evolving from artificial screen. The movement of circular motion and toss (upward parabolic movement) are fully embodied. By adjusting the Radial angle and Tangential angle to change the amplitude of circular motion and toss. Advanced technology and design for better performance in round screen. The motion of tumbler sieve is double pendulum movement that generated by ordinary vertical motor drives eccentric wheel. The material forms a regular gradually grounding parabolic motion by adjusting the radial angle and tangential angle.
In particular with fine products, the screen mesh openings tend to clog up and it is imperative that this be avoided if continuous operation is to be guaranteed. Various very effective screen cleaners are available for this purpose. The modular design enables different setup variations. The product can be re-screened 2 to 3 times to increase yield and screening efficiency. Other possibilities are integrated control screens or reversed screening with which the finest dust is separated first followed subsequently by coarser separations.
While the tumbler screening machine is running, its radial inclination ensures that the material being screened moves from the center of the screen outwards, while its tangential inclination makes the material move in circular fashion on the screen. The interaction between the two resulting forces makes the particles being screened move in a spiral pattern on the screen fabric, ensuring that the particles stay a long time on the screen. This, in turn, enables the machine to achieve an optimum level of grading accuracy with respect to the particle size ranges while simultaneously minimizing oversize and fines contamination.
The movement of a tumbler screening machine is usually compared with simple hand screening. The product is continuously fed into the center of the top screen, from where it spreads out evenly to the outside across the entire screening surface. The finer particles fall through the screen near the center and the coarser ones successively towards the periphery. The material is moved in a spiral pattern with increasing acceleration of the particles the further they are from the centre, with the result that even those particles which are almost the same size as the screen mesh are screened. All the separated fractions are discharged through the lateral outlets. The screening process is repeated again and again on each deck.
