Product Description
0.6mm 1.0mm GC26 Nickel Hastelloy Molybdenum Tranter Heat Exchanger Plate
TRANTER Heat Exchanger Plates
- Heat exchanger plates are key components in plate heat exchangers, which are highly efficient devices used for transferring heat between two fluids. These plates are designed to maximize the surface area available for heat transfer while maintaining a compact and space-efficient design.
- Heat exchanger plates are typically made of metal, such as stainless steel or titanium, which have excellent thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. The plates are formed with specific corrugated patterns, such as herringbone or chevron, to create turbulence and increase the heat transfer coefficient.
- The corrugated design of the plates creates flow channels for the two fluids, allowing them to flow in a counter-current or co-current pattern. This arrangement optimizes heat transfer by ensuring a large temperature difference between the fluids, promoting efficient thermal exchange.
- The plates are assembled in a stack with gaskets or welded together to create a sealed flow path for the fluids. The gaskets provide a tight and leak-free seal, while the welded plates offer enhanced durability and resistance to high pressures and temperatures.
- The selection of heat exchanger plates depends on factors such as the operating conditions, fluid properties, desired heat transfer efficiency, and maintenance requirements. Various plate types and configurations are available to meet specific application needs.
- Overall, heat exchanger plates play a crucial role in promoting efficient heat transfer and enabling the effective exchange of thermal energy between fluids in plate heat exchangers.
