Quaternary Ammonium Polymer, no formaldehyde, is an environmentally friendly cationic additive; it is widely used in paper processing as a fixing agent. The main advantage is to eliminate the anionic trash from the pulp, to improve the quality of the paper.

Description:
-
It is widely used in neutral sizing agent systems. Its cationic components provide strongly protective agents to promote and facilitate ripening, greatly limiting the AKD hydrolysis and migration tendencies.
- By providing a large number of cations, the negative charge is brought on dye molecules are neutralized instability, at the same time with color removal chemical by a large number of hydrolysis of flocs. It can be adsorbed dye, destabilization of the snare, from water separation, so as to achieve the purpose of bleaching.
- As a special decolorant for treating high-coloring effluent from textile houses, high performance for color removal and COD reduction.
- It can be used for treating paper and pulp waste liquid, clay slurry, and refinery wastewater.
- To reduce the costs of color wastewater treatment, suggested using polyaluminium chloride together, which can reduce the dosage of color removal chemicals.
- Harmless, non-flammable, and non-explosive, stored at room temperature, soluble in water, safe, non-toxic, hydrolytic stability.
Application Fields:
- As a fixing agent and anionic trash catcher in the paper and pulp process
- Special decolorant for syrup and juice decolorization and clarification
- As a decoloring agent for textile wastewater color removal and COD decreasing.
- For potable water treatment and wastewater from different industries, sewage treatment.
- Mining (coal, gold, diamonds, etc.) flocculant
- Decolorizing for papermaking and ink-making wastewater treatment
- Sludge handling polymer
Competitive Advantage:
1 | The liquid form is easy to make a solution and use. |
2 | Faster sedimentation, and better flocculation in treating than other inorganic polymers. |
3 | Can make blends with PAC or ACH, better performance for water treatment. |
4 | Non-toxic, environmentally friendly, noncorrosive of suggested dosage, economical. |
5 | It can eliminate the use of alum & further ferric salts when used as primary coagulants. |
Applications:
- The normal dosage is from 250 - 400 g/ton, depending on the circumstances.
- It is important to make tests on-site (every pulp is different); the product should be mixed with pulp (for instance machine chest pulp) at different dosages (200 - 400 - 600 800g/ton); mix gently for 5 minutes; then the pulp is filtered on glass fiber filter (or centrifuged), and the filtrate is analyzed by Mutek (cationic demand).
- Usually, the dosage that provides a reduction of 50% of the cationic demand should fit.
- It is important not to lose too much because it could overcationize the system.
