Polyamines are effective in wastewater treatment due to their ability to enhance coagulation and flocculation processes. Here are some key aspects of their use:
Benefits of Polyamines in Wastewater Treatment:
-
Coagulation Aid:
- Polyamines neutralize the negative charges on suspended particles, promoting their aggregation into larger flocs, which can then be easily removed.
-
Enhanced Floc Formation:
- They improve the formation of stable flocs, which helps in reducing turbidity and improving the clarity of treated water.
-
Reduced Sludge Volume:
- The use of polyamines often results in less sludge production compared to traditional coagulants, reducing disposal costs and environmental impact.
-
Compatibility with Other Chemicals:
- Polyamines can be used alongside other coagulants and flocculants to enhance overall treatment efficiency.
-
Cost-Effectiveness:
- By improving the efficiency of the treatment process, polyamines can lower the overall chemical dosage needed, leading to cost savings.
-
Broad Applicability:
- They are effective in treating various types of wastewater, including municipal, industrial, and agricultural effluents.
Description:
- Bluwat polyamine is mainly used to synthesize various kinds of high molecular water treatment compounds. Its effects are electric neutralization, adsorption, flocculation, purification, and decoloration, and is also used for sewage treatment.
- It is especially effective with charged particles, to which inorganic flocculants are ineffective.
- It is used to remove the color of wastewater generated by textiles process houses and dyes industries and paper mills.
- In water treatment, also can be blended with inorganic polymers for water purification, such as poly aluminium chloride (PAC) and aluminum chlorohydrate (ACH), which will be better performance.
Specifications:
Appearance: | Clear, Light Straw Yellow, Transparent Colloid |
Solid Content: | >50% |
Specific Gravity: | 1.10-1.15( at 20°C) |
PH Value : | 5-7(1% Solution) |
Viscosity: | 1000-3000cps(@25°C) |
Application Fields:
- High performance for cane sugar/syrup and juice process decolorant and clarification
- As coagulant for drinking water treatment and wastewater treatment
- As decolorant for textiles effluent color removal
- Mining (coal, gold, diamonds, etc.) water recovery and purification
- For paper making as an anionic trash catch
- Meat process waste treatment and recovery

Competitive Advantage:
1 | High efficiency for cane sugar decolorant with high cationic density. |
2 | Non-toxic, food grade, high purity. |
3 | Very fast sedimentation, and good flocculation, compared with inorganic polymers, such as aluminum sulphate, polyaluminium chloride, ferric sulfate etc. |
4 | Can be used alone or combined with inorganic coagulants, such as Poly Aluminum Chloride. |
5 | Used as a retention agent in the paper & pulp processing |
6 | Can eliminate the use of alum & further ferric salts when used as primary coagulants. |
Application Methods:
1 | Before use, should have a solution of concentration of 0.5%-0.05%( based on solid content). |
2 | The dosage is based on the turbidity and the concentration of the different source water. The most economical dosage is based on the trial. The dosing spot and the mixing velocity should be carefully decided to guarantee that the chemical can be mixed evenly with the other chemicals in the water and the flocs cannot be broken. |
Package and Storage:
- Non-toxic, non-flammable, and non-explosive, it can be stored at room temperature, and it can not be placed in the sun.
- It is packaged in plastic drums with each containing 25kg, 215kg, 1200kg, or others according to the requirements of clients.
- Stored in room temperature.
- The product would show slight stratification or appear white at low temperatures. There is no negative impact on the performance after mixing up.
