Description of Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography Instrument

UHPLC has been gradually adopted in industrial labs, especially the pharmaceutical industry dueto its high resolution, high speed, and solvent saving, since its introduction in early 2004. A UHPLC method using a sub-2 um column could reduce the analysis time by up to 80% and savethe mobile phase consumption by at least 80% compared with an HPLC method using aconventional 3.5 um column without sacrificing separation performance. In addition, the muchshorter run time significantly reduces UHPLC method development scouting time. It has the characteristics of high-precision ultra-high pressure infusion unit, low system diffusion volume and optimized extremely low cross-contamination.
