Galvanizing refers to the rust-proof method of laying metal zinc on the surface of iron or steel.
Zinc is a kind of metal with high corrosion resistance, which can insulate iron from oxygen and water, so that the chemical reaction needed for rusting of iron can not occur.
Because the metal activity of zinc is higher than that of iron, even if the zinc plating is damaged, zinc can still prevent rusting by sacrificial protection electrochemical method.
