Gold Plated Molybdenum Wire A Versatile Product for Electronics High-Temp Vacuum and Aerospace applications
Gold Plated Molybdenum Wire offers a few advantages versus gold plated tungsten wire. Gold plated molybdenum wire is lighter than tungsten and more ductile. The ductility of molybdenum wire allows it to be woven and used in specific applications like antennae on satellites. Like tungsten wire, gold plated molybdenum wire is used in the medical and electronics industries.
Application area
Gold-plated molybdenum wire is applied in:
* Electronics: In semiconductors for wire bonding and in connectors. Molybdenum gives strength, gold plating offers conductivity and corrosion resistance.
* High-Temp & Vacuum: As heating element in vacuum furnaces and sensing element in high-temp sensors. Gold plating reduces evaporation and ensures accuracy.
* Aerospace & Defense: For spacecraft and missile systems, ensuring reliable operation under extreme conditions.

The characteristics of gold plated molybdenum wire makes it suitable for different electronic applications.
Besides reasons like protection against corrosion another cause for gold plating is to achieve good electrical contact
and also an improved wettability for soldering.
Gold plated molybdenum wire is a good alternative where you would like your plated wire, at a given wire dimension,
to be less heavy than for tungsten. Another product feature that is different to tungsten is the better ductility for
gold plated molybdenum wire.
Standard gold coat thickness is 3-5% by weight. For a dimension range of 0.015 – 0.150mm this corresponds to a gold
coat thickness of 0.1 – 0.8 micron. Upon request we also manufacture gold plated molybdenum wire with non-standard
coat thicknesses, like for example 1 or 2 micron.
Our plating technology is constantly improved and this work is facilitated by the fact that we are also designing our own
plating equipment. This allows us to meet our customers demand for a well adhesive and dense gold coat
with uniform thickness.
Our modern scanning electron microscope is an example of an instrument that allows us to confirm the continuous
improvements of our manufacturing technologies.

1.What kind of Enameled copper wire do Winner produce?
We focus on research and development of selfbonding magnet round copper wire, fine polyurethane magnet wire, selfbonding litz copper wire and selfbonding silk covered wire.
2.What's diameters available of the Enamelled copper wire ?
We specialize in fine and ultra fine enamelled copper wire, diameters available of our products is Φ0.018-0.50mm.
3.What's selfbonding enameled copper wire?
Selfbonding enamelled copper wire is a special type of enamelled wire with an additional adhesive enamel overcoat such as thermoplastic resin. This adhesive has a bonding feature, which is activated
by heat or solvents.
Once activated the adhesive bonds turn to turn windings into a compact self supporting coil.
The use of selfbonding wire may offer cost and manufacturing advantages in some winding applications
as bobbins, tape, varnishing, or impregnation may be eliminated.
4. Is possible to get any sample of selfbonding enamelled copper wire that you have in production?
Of course you can!
