Description PL301 Submersible level transmitter
Submersible pressure transducers or transmitters are primarily used to measure the hydrostatic head of a liquid. In order to counteract the atmospheric pressure component, that is, the pressure acting on the liquid at the top of an exhaust tank or open storage tank, exhaust is required on the opposite side of the sensing diagram. If certain precautions are not taken, vents can easily lead to premature failure of submersible pressure sensors.
One of the main causes of failure of submersible pressure sensors is condensation or damage caused by water vapor flowing down the exhaust pipe or between power lines. Condensation is caused by the temperature difference between the cable end temperature and the liquid temperature. In general, the liquid is cooler, especially in summer, and if the relative humidity is high enough, it will condense on cooler surfaces.
The STANDARD temperature range of the PL301 submersible temperature sensor is 0 to +85°C, and additional calibration ranges are available upon request. It has a compact 27mm diameter and is designed for long and permanent inundation in liquids.
