Description PL301 Submersible level transmitter
The submersible static pressure liquid level transmitter PL301 is specially designed for continuous monitoring of liquid level in Wells, reservoirs, water tanks, boreholes and rivers.
The submersible measures the static pressure of the liquid column above the transmitter and transmits a current signal proportional to the water column to the instrument above.
The highly stable 316L stainless steel diaphragm sensor is fully compatible with raw or chlorinated water and most semi-corrosive liquids.
A special ventilation cable is provided to compensate for changes in atmospheric pressure, and it accurately transmits measured liquid levels. The cable length associated with the application can be defined to the desired range at the time of purchase or customized to suit the application site.
The standard submersible level transmitter output is a 2-wire 4-20mA signal that has a surge protection circuit to mitigate the effects of electrical transients caused by nearby lightning strikes and power fluctuations. For applications that use data loggers, a proportional version can be used that provides 0.5-4.5Vdc output from a 5Vdc power supply.
