Bushfire Mesh Explaination

Many areas of Australia are subject to summer bushfires which cause loss of life, livestock, homes, farm buildings and infrastructure, and cost the country millions of dollars every year.

In Victoria in 2009, what became known as the Black Saturday bush fires, prompted the development of Australian Standard 3959-2009 (Construction of Buildings in Bushfire Prone Areas) which gives people who are building, re-building, retrofitting or renovating their homes, a clear direction on how to better protect their homes against bushfires.

Anti Spark Mesh provides protection against ember attack in areas that are susceptible to bushfire. The mesh is for use in many applications such as protecting windows, covering weepholes, roof vents, gutters and doors.

Stainless steel woven wire mesh supplied in 30m rolls for use in protecting homes in bushfire prone areas. Both grade 304 and 316 stainless steel are avaliable.

Bushfire mesh can be used for protection against ember attack and radiant heat. It can be used to protect windows (inlcuding skylights), doors, decks and patios, evaporative cooling units, gable and roof vents, gutters, eaves and downpipes.
