As you apply the film, gradually peel off more of the backing paper, smoothing the film onto the surface as you go. 5. Smooth out bubbles: If you notice any air bubbles trapped under the film, use the squeegee or credit card to gently push them out towards the edges. Work from the center outward to expel the bubbles completely.
6. Trim excess: Once the film is applied smoothly, use a utility knife or scissors to trim any excess film along the edges. Be cautious when cutting to avoid damaging the surface underneath.
7. Finish and clean: After trimming, go over the entire surface with a clean cloth or sponge to ensure that the PVC film is securely adhered and free from any air bubbles or wrinkles. If you used soapy water during application, wipe away any excess water or soap residue.
8. Final inspection: Inspect the surface to ensure that the PVC film is securely in place and free from imperfections. If you encounter any issues, gently lift the film and reapply as needed.
