Alloy 316H (UNS S31609) is a high carbon modification of Alloy 316 developed for use in elevated temperature service. The alloyhas higher strength at elevated temperatures and is used for structural and pressure vessel applications at temperatures above932°F (500°C). The higher carbon content of 316H also delivers higher tensile and yield strength than 316/316L and its austeniticstructure provides excellent toughness down to cryogenic temperatures.The corrosion resistance of Alloy 316H is comparable to Alloy 316/316L and is superior to Alloy 304/304L in moderately corrosiveenvironments. It is often used in process streams containing chlorides or halides. The alloy resists atmospheric corrosion, aswell as, moderately oxidizing and reducing environments. It also resists corrosion in polluted marine conditions.Alloy 316H is non-magnetic in the annealed condition. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment, however the material will hardendue to cold working. It can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.

Slip on flange like the plate flat welding flange, is a flange in which steel pipes, pipe fittings, etc. are extended into the flange and connected to equipment or pipelines through fillet welds. The appearance of the neck flat welding flange is similar to that of the flat welding flange, and its characteristic is that the pipe is inserted into the flange for welding. This design makes the connection between the flange and the pipeline stronger and is suitable for low and medium pressure pipeline systems. The necked flat welding flange is connected to the pipe by insertion welding. The specific operation is to insert the pipe into the inner diameter of the SO flange and perform plug welding to ensure the stability of the connection. Neck flat welding flanges are often used in low and medium pressure piping systems, especially when used in conjunction with flanges on equipment (such as instruments, valves, pumps, etc.), showing their wide applicability.
