The CPU LOOM-INPUT board PSO000208000 can be considered the central unit that processes and
controls all machine functions. Its operation is based on a 32-bit microprocessor interfaced with the CAN
BUS system with all other units inside or outside the electric cabinet. This microprocessor provided with 1
Mbyte of Flash memory, 1 Mbyte of static Ram memory and 128 Kbyte of EPROM memory, provides for
management of 85 digital inputs from the outside, 2 analogical inputs for the load cells, 24 signal outputs
and an RS232 serial line in addition to the CAN BUS line. Also, on the inside of this board there are
stabilized power supplies for the +24V, the + - 15Vdc, the +5Vdc of the digital part and the +5Vdc of the
section relative to the CAN BUS. Using two DIN 41612 connectors on the CPU LOOM-INPUT board, an
additional board can be inserted for management of the weft-feeler sensor.
The software for this board, resident in the flash memory, can be updated without replacing the EPROM by
using the software update RAM card that fits in the special connector on the remote terminal.
To know the checksum for the software installed on this board it is necessary to use the special function
available on the remote terminal.
The board is provided with a switch (SW1) near the battery (BT1) This switch has to be ON in order for the
board to function, otherwise every time the board is switched off data would be lost. When a board is
supplied separately as a spare, this switch is OFF in order to save the battery charge: before starting to use
it the switch should be closed (in “ON” position).
The board is provided with 4 fuses marked (F1), (F2), (F3), (F4).
