APPLICATION
AAC conductor full name as all aluminum conductor is primarily for overhead transmission and primary and secondary distribution, where ampacity must be maintained and a lighter conductor (compared to ACSR) is desired, and when conductor strength is not a critical factor
STANDARD
Aluminum stranded conductor are basic design to BS 215-1 / BS EN 50182 / IEC 61089 / ASTM B 231/B 231M / DIN 48201-5 standards
Note: The values of current rating mentioned in above Table are based on wind velocity of 0.6 metre/second, solar heat radiation of 1200 watt/metre2, ambient temperature of 50° C & conductor temperature of 80°C.
CONSTRUCTION
A concentric lay stranded conductor consisting of Aluminum Alloy 1350-H19 wires. AAC is available in both single layer and multi-layer constructions
