A central stainless steel tube (which contains the optical fiber inside) is surrounded by single or double layers of aluminum-clad steel (ACS) or mixed ACS and aluminum alloy wires. The design of aluminized stainless steel tube increases the cross-section of aluminum to achieve better fault current and lightning strike resistance. It is suitable for transmission lines requiring small diameter and large fault current.
1). The diameter of the OPGW optical cable is small, the additional load on the tower is small, and the tensile strength is high.
2). Excellent stranding technology makes the fiber have a good excess length and allows the fiber to move freely in the tube. It keeps the fiber optics stress-free when the cable is subjected to tension.
3). The optical fiber is protected by a stainless steel tube.
— Adapt to the replacement of aging ground wires and new high-voltage ground wire structures.
— Applied to lines requiring lightning protection and conduction of short-circuit current.
