What is Dosing Device?

Dosing system is a complete set of equipment with dosing, mixing, liquid transportation and automatic control, which is widely used in raw water of power plant, boiler feed water, oilfield ground collection and transportation dewatering treatment system, petrochemical various dosing system and wastewater treatment system. Such as adding coagulant, phosphate, ammonia, lime, corrosion inhibitor, scale inhibitor, algaecide and so on.

Working Principle of Dosing Device

  • Dosing device is mainly composed of solution tank, agitator, metering pump and so on.
  • The dosing device is configured in the stirring box according to the concentration of the required agent, and put into the solution box after stirring evenly by the stirrer. The metering pump is used to deliver the prepared solution to the dosing point or designated system.
  • The complete set of dosing device is characterized by compact structure, safety and simplicity, easy operation and use.
  • Dosing device can also be based on the user's different process requirements, targeted design, configuration of the necessary components to achieve automatic remote control and other functions.
Dosing System Selection Notes

1. The first step, according to the system needs to be added to determine the amount of solution to choose specifications. According to the dosing situation, to determine the dosing method, generally using a “one with a backup” approach.
2. The second step is to choose the material of each part of the dosing device, the flow rate and head of the metering pump or to provide us with the parameters of the dosing agent (name, concentration, temperature, density, viscosity, corrosiveness, etc.) or the use of the dosing agent or special control requirements.
