In order to ensure the safety of products, safety standards have been established in different regions to implement strict testing and production process control at different stages of product production, among which European standards are widely used. Any product going to Europe will inevitably pass the strict test of EN71 standard, and toys are no exception. Among them, Torque & Tension, DropTest, ImpactTest, Compression Test are commonly used.

The toy CE certification instruction is applicable to any product or material designed for or scheduled to be played by children under 14 years of age. If charged, the power supply shall not exceed 24V. If toy products are legally sold in the EU, they must meet the requirements of toy directive 2009/48/EC and mark CE logo. According to the different categories of toy products, age groups are divided.

1. From birth to 18 months

2. From 19 months to 36 months

3. From birth to 36 months

More than 4.37 months

5.60 months or less

6. From 37 months to 72 months

7. From 37 months to 96 months

8. From 96 months to 168 months

Test certification includes the following tests:

General Standard for Toys-EN71-EN71Part1 Physical Aland Mechanicaltest Mechanical and Physical Performance Testing

Flammability test of EN71Part2 Flammalility test

Including combustion testing of flammable materials: hair, clothing, etc.

EN71Part3 Chemicaltest chemical test, that is to test whether the content of eight toxic elements (8kinds of oxicelements) meets the standard requirements. These eight toxic elements include antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury and tin.
